U8 - U12 Miniroos

Mixed teams and girls only teams are available in the Miniroos competition, travelling locally for away games. Build skills and confidence on a smaller pitch with modified rules, as children learn the game in a 7v7 or 9v9 format. Training is once a week with games on Saturday mornings.

Mixed teams are categorised into four playing levels for Miniroos: Kangaroo 1, Kangaroo 2, Wallaby and Quokka. Girls teams have two levels: Girls Bilby and Joeys.

The Club will grade registered players into teams to play with and against players of a similar ability. The Club generally aims to keep teams the same each year, adding players where necessary. For U9 - U12 Miniroos girls teams, there will only be grading if there is more than one team in the age group. Grading will be held on Sunday mornings. Times and dates to be released soon.

Age Restrictions

Football Queensland has age restrictions for playing groups in Miniroos, Juniors and some Senior teams.

The playing group age is determined by the age you are turning this calendar year.  For example, if you are turning 11 this calendar year, you will be an U11 player.  This is different to the school year.
